Mark “Pegleg” W. Holmes, Prospect, PA Death And Obituary: Mark “Pegleg” W. Holmes, 61, of Prospect, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026. His passing has left family, friends, and loved ones mourning the loss of a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and longtime member of the community.

Born on June 19, 1964, in Butler, Pennsylvania, Mark was the son of Bertha F. Lawton and the late Wallace H. Holmes. He spent many years working as a truck driver, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic and steady dedication throughout his life.

Outside of work, Mark was known as an avid outdoorsman who found joy and peace in nature. He especially enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, and gathering around bonfires—simple moments that brought him happiness and were often shared with those closest to him.

Mark was the beloved husband of Diana (Pfaff) Holmes, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage, having wed on October 13, 1990. He was a loving father to Mark Jr., Allyssa, Shannon Holmes, and Blake (Ryan) Holmes-Cariglio. He was also a proud grandfather to Gannon Horne, Haevyn Turner, Waylon, Clyde, and Hennessy Grossman.

He is further survived by his siblings Kimberly Beachem, Carol Hines, Shawn Holmes, and Melissa Johnson, along with numerous extended family members including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mark will be remembered for his deep devotion to family, his appreciation for the outdoors, and the steady presence he provided to those around him. His memory lives on through the family he loved and the moments they shared together.

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 5–7 PM at Spencer D. Geibel Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Butler, Pennsylvania, followed by a prayer service.
