Madeline Spatafore Fatally Shot Butler County, PA Death: Murder‑Suicide Involving Husband Ryan Hosso

Madeline Spatafore Muder-Suicde Butler County, PA Death And Obituary: Pennsylvania State Police are investigating what authorities describe as a domestic-related murder‑suicide that occurred early Tuesday in Seven Fields Borough, Butler County. The victims have been identified as 25‑year‑old Madeline Spatafore and her husband, 26‑year‑old Ryan Hosso.

According to Northern Regional Police Chief Bryan DeWick, officers were dispatched to the neighborhood along Graywyck Drive around 1:15 a.m. after Butler County 911 received a call from the suspect’s parents. They reported that their son had contacted them, claiming he had killed his wife and was threatening to take his own life while hiding in a wooded area nearby.

When officers arrived at the couple’s residence, they discovered a woman inside the home who had been fatally shot. Chief DeWick said that for a brief period, Hosso’s whereabouts were unknown, prompting an urgent search of the surrounding area. Police located him shortly afterward in a wooded section behind the home, an area that falls within neighboring Cranberry Township.

Because the incident crossed jurisdictional boundaries, the Pennsylvania State Police Butler barracks assumed control of the investigation. Trooper Bertha Cazy said multiple agencies are assisting, which will extend the time needed to process the scene thoroughly.

“We’re going to be here as long as it takes to process the scene,” Trooper Cazy said, noting that coordination among state police and local departments requires additional time and resources. She added that investigators will continue working at the site until all evidence has been collected and documented.

Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
