Jaykub E. Anderson Argyle, WI Car Accident Death: Friends And Family Mourns A Loss
With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we remember and honor the life of Jaykub E. Anderson, 32, of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, whose life was tragically and suddenly lost in a devastating crash in Argyle, Wisconsin.
According to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash occurred on Thursday along the 5000 block of State Highway 81. Authorities report that the incident likely took place in the early morning hours, around 5:30 a.m., while Jaykub was operating a 2012 Peterbilt quad-axle milk truck traveling westbound.
For reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway on the north side of STH 81. Investigators say the truck continued through a ditch before heading toward the edge of an abandoned quarry. The vehicle ultimately went over the edge and fell into the quarry below, resulting in a violent and catastrophic impact.
The truck overturned upon landing, and the force of the crash caused extensive damage, including separation of the milk tank from the vehicle’s frame. Emergency responders were later dispatched to the scene after reports of a serious crash in the area.
Multiple agencies responded, including the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, Argyle Fire Department, Argyle EMS, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and the Lafayette County Highway Department. Despite their efforts, Jaykub E. Anderson was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Lafayette County Coroner’s Office. He was the only person inside the vehicle.
Recovery and investigation efforts were complex due to the location and severity of the crash, requiring careful coordination. State Highway 81 was reduced to one lane for several hours as crews worked to document the scene and remove the heavily damaged vehicle.
Authorities have not yet determined what caused the truck to leave the roadway, and the investigation remains ongoing as officials continue to examine all possible contributing factors.
Jaykub is remembered as a hardworking individual whose life ended in a sudden and tragic moment. His passing has left his family, friends, and community grieving a deep and painful loss.
